Along with the HP Veer, the company also announced the successor to the Pre 2 the Pre 3. The Pre 3 features a 3.6-inch touch screen with a resolution of 800×480 (WVGA). The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at a whopping 1.4GHz.
The phone will also have a Gesture’ area. The handset will also have the largest QWERTY keyboard found ever found in a HP/Palm phone.
Like the HP Veer, the Pre 3 will sport 512MB of RAM. The back of the handset will sport a 5MP camera with AF (Auto-Focus) and an LED flash. The handset will be capable of recording videos in full HD (1080p) resolution. The front of the handset will also sport a camera for all your video calling needs.
The usual Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Compass and a 3.5mm audio jack are also present. The HP Veer and the Pre 3 will also be supported by a new accessory from HP the Touchstone.
The handset will be available in two variants of HSPA+ and EVDO Rev. A World Phone so as to cater to the needs of users on different types of networks. The handset will be available in capacities of 8GB or 16GB. Sadly, the handset will be available to consumers only in summer of this year.
