Along with the webOS 2.0, HP also announced the successor to the Palm Pre the Palm Pre 2. The Palm Pre 2 will be powered by a 1GHz processor, from OMAP in all probability. The Pre 2 will feature a 3.1-inch screen with HVGA (320×480) resolution. The phone will also sport a 5MP camera along with a LED flash, extended depth of field and video recording. ![]()
The usual GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, accelerometer, 3.5mm jack, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor are also present. The Pre 2 will also have 16GB of on board memory for all your storage needs. The handset will also support Mobile Access Point (AP) feature for up to five devices.
The Pre 2 will be running on the HP webOS 2.0. The handset will be hitting France this Friday on the SFR network. The Pre 2 will be hitting the U.S. under the Verizon network in the coming months’.
In the U.S., Developers will also be able to order an unlocked Pre 2 (UMTS). Sadly, HP did not mention anything about the pricing of the Pre 2. Click here for more information about the Palm Pre 2.
