im with u i spent 800 usd on the sony i have not even got time to learn how to use it but im already disappointed in the 1st two weeks due to to its short battery life please do something im even trying to sell it but no one wants it Gosh

this doesnt really help, i am still facing the same problem. Battery is lasting only 8-10 hours. spend 600 dollars on the phone and getting nothing out of it.

I bought my X10 6 days ago – after fully charging, the battery lasted only about 20 hours on standby. The sales rep at Rogers suggested I let the battery totally die before recharging. I did this and lost only 10% battery life overnight instead of 50%.

I'm with Paul on this one. While it is very nice tips, and I didn't know a couple of them, JuiceDefender is an app most Android devices would benefit from.

Or just download JuiceDefender from Android Market. It will more than double your standby battery life (or so I've found) by optimising your APN (Network) settings whilst your phone is in standby. Once you wake your phone, everything turns back on and away you go, plenty of high speed network performance which doesn't drain your battery life whilst your phone is in standby.

If you want to save even more battery life, try JuiceUltimate.
