Google Nexus One Sold Out!

The Google-branded-HTC-made Nexus One did not sell well through its unique web store. However, the phone was widely appreciated by many before Google killed it. The phone is no longer available from the Googleclip_image001 Web store. Nevertheless, people who are still interested in purchasing the phone can grab it from online stores like eBay. The phone is also available as a Developer phone until now! No, Google has not killed the Nexus One as a developer phone. Instead, the phone has been sold-out globally.

The Nexus One is currently out of stock, and Google is blaming the shortage of AMOLEDs for this. HTC, the manufacturer of Nexus One, has already made their shift to S-LCDs from AMOLED display official. An official Google spokesperson also said that -:

Everyone appreciates that it’s important to the platform to get phones in the hands of developers, so we’re working hard on re-stocking the shelves.

Samsung is currently the largest producer of AMOLEDs but the company has shifted its focus on manufacturing Super-AMOLEDs exclusively for its phone, thus the shortage of AMOLEDs. Hopefully, the Google Nexus One will be back in stock as a developer phone sooner than later.
