Google Maps Navigation Now Available For Android 1.6

Google, earlier launched Google Navigation app for Android 2.0 which disappointed users having devices running on Android 1.6 (Donut) and higher, such as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G and the G1.

While Navigation app on Android 1.6 won’t benefit from all the functionalities that are available on Google Navigation app on Android 2.0, it offers cush functions like voice-guided direction, auto-rerouting and the Layers feature, which allows users to overlay info likes transit lines and Wiki onto a map.

You can download Google Navigation app for Android 1.6 from the Android market for free. Check out the official video by Google which demos the navigation app on the Moto Droid phone:
