Google+ Gets 18 New Features Today For Enhanced Mobile Experience

Google has just announced a massive list of new features and enhancements that it is bringing to Google+ and the mobile app for Android. Overall, Google is making 18 new changes that should please all G+ users out there.

For us Android lovers, the Google+ app will get a major update today that will bring support for animated GIFs, emoticons, birthday reminders in Google Now, a lock screen widget, the ability to subscribe to notifications from a circle or community, on-the-go profile editing and much more.

One of the biggest change for Android users is enhanced Instant Upload. Until today, Google+ Instant Uploaded resized images to 2048px with unlimited storage. Beginning from today though, users can upload full resolution pictures to Google+ with up to 5GB of free storage space. Apart from this, Android users running Android 2.2 or higher can now also view Photo sphere images right on their mobile device.

There are a bunch of other changes as well including improved Hangouts on Air experience, enhanced event planning and Hangouts.
