Galaxy S3 64GB Variant Canceled Due To Lack Of Demand
By on November 30th, 2012

Back in May when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S3, it announced the phone with three different storage options – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. While the 16GB version of the Galaxy S3 can be easily found everywhere, the 32GB and 64GB variant of the phone are still not available everywhere.

A couple of months ago, Clove UK had announced that it will soon be bringing the 64GB variant of the Galaxy S3 to the U.K along in a brand new color — black. Sadly, Clove has now announced that it won’t be bringing the 64GB variant of the Galaxy S3 to the United Kingdom because of the extremely low number of pre-orders.

“A few weeks ago we made the Samsung Galaxy SIII Black 64GB available to pre-order, with the intention of ranging it should the demand be high enough,” the retailer’s latest blog post has declared. “Unfortunately the number of pre-orders that we received did not meet the minimum required to bring stock into the UK, so we will not be ranging the handset.

This should not really come as a surprise since the Galaxy S3 features a microSD card slot, which offers a much cheaper way of expanding storage on the handset. Considering the extra premium that most of the Android OEMs charge for the 32GB increase in storage space, it is no surprise that the 64GB variant of nearly all handsets barely have any demand.
