By on September 15th, 2010

At the time of the launch of Droid X, Motorola and Verizon had stated that the Droid X will get its Froyo love sometime in late summer. Now it looks like the update is not too far away. The folks over at Droid-Life received a document which was hidden in Verizon’s Droiddoes.com website. Droid X The document contains information about the Android 2.2 update for the Droid X. The document states the exciting new featureswhich the update will be bringing to the handset.

The document was created on 10th September which in all probability means that the update will be rolled out anytime soon now. The document highlights the three new features in Android 2.2 for the Droid X Flash Player 10.1, Automatic Software updates and 270 degree screen rotation. The document also provides a link where users can see the complete change-log. However, that page is still not up!

Nevertheless, this news must have made Droid X owners pretty excited. I seriously hope Motorola will be able to fix the sluggish performance of the Droid X with this Android 2.2 update.
