Last year, when I got my first ever-Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy S, I was pleasantly surprised to find that SGS owners could download and play Asphalt 5 for free. The game had decent graphics, addictive gameplay and best of all, featured multiplayer mode over Wi-Fi which allowed me to play the game with my friends.
When I got the most popular smartphone of this year, the Samsung Galaxy S II, I expected Sammy to give more free games with the phone. After all, the Galaxy S II is a beast of a phone, and Sammy should have pre-loaded some games, which showed the true potential of the phone. However, I was pretty disappointed to find out that the Galaxy S II came bundled with 0 games. There were a lot of games listed for the SGS2 in the Samsung Apps store, but all of them were trial version.
Better late than never, Sammy has now finally made Gameloft’s popular Asphalt 6 game a free download for Galaxy S II owners. SGS2 owners can download the game for free via the Samsung Apps market on their phone.
Keep in mind that after installing the game from market, the game itself downloads a whopping 550MB+ of data from Gameloft’s server via Wi-Fi. So, make sure you have a stable and fast Wi-Fi connection along with enough juice in the phone to download the data.
