Blackberry is really experimenting a lot these days, anyone would if their marketshare was getting hammered by two other mobile OSes (read: iOS and Android). Say Hi to the new Blackberry Style 9670, RIM’s first clamshell Blackberry device.
I don’t really find it very stylish, but that’s probably subjective. It is a bit bulky but offers nice hardware specs. It has a 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash and comes with 3G EVDO Rev. A connectivity. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP.
It runs the new Blackberry OS 6.0 and has 512 MB and supports up to 16 GB microSD cards. It has a 2.7 inch internal display with a resolution of 360 x 400 pixels and a 2 inch external QVGA display. It’s powered by a 1150 mAh battery with a rated talktime of 4.5 hours.
It will be available on Sprint from October 31. It is priced at just $99.99 after a mail in rebate of $100.
