In a press conference in New Delhi today, BlackBerry introduced the new BlackBerry Z3 smartphone in India. Featuring BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1, the new all-touch BlackBerry Z3 smartphone comes with a 5-inch display.
The BlackBerry Z3 is the first smartphone to be introduced after the company’s strategic partnership with Foxconn.
The Z3 features a 5-inch display with qHD (960×540 pixels) resolution. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM, the smartphone packs in 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. The BlackBerry Z3 comes with a 5-megapixel rear and a 1.1-megapixel front camera. The phone boasts of a 2,500mAh battery and the company claims 15 hours of talktime, which is pretty good.
BlackBerry Z3 comes with the latest BlackBerry 10 OS, version 10.2.1, and includes BlackBerry Maps. For the first time ever, BlackBerry has launched BlackBerry Maps for its users in India. This app provides 2D maps, local search, and powerful 3D voice guided turn-by-turn directions.
The new BlackBerry Z3 smartphone is available for pre-booking at The Mobile Store, Flipkart, and BlackBerry exclusive stores starting from June 25.The retail price of ₹15,990 is a tad much, but worthy of this decent device if BlackBerry is your platform of choice.
