Best 4G Phone by Provider
By on March 24th, 2011

With changes in the mobile market happening faster than the speed of 4G, it’s easy to get lost in all the hype and excitement. But what are the best 4G phones? Before you jump ship on your preferred provider to grab the latest 4G compatible phone, make sure you know what you’re getting into and what you may be leaving behind.

Here are the best 4G phones by provider:

Sprint

Some may be surprised that Sprint was the first to step on the 4G scene, but their debut 4G phone, the HTC Evo 4G, is still their best. The HTC Evo scores points for its 4.3-inch display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, dual cameras and the inclusion of HTC’s Sense UI.

T-Mobile

HTC spreads the 4G love to T-Mobile with the HTC myTouch. This phone runs on the Android 2.2 platform, moves as fast as the Evo, and displays all of your favorite pictures, videos and websites on a 3.8-inch, 800×480 screen. If you want to use your phone for video chatting, the myTouch makes it easy with rear and front-facing cameras.

AT&T

Though AT&T also has an HTC 4G phone, their show stopper is the Motorola Atrix. The Atrix runs on a dual-core 2x1GHz processor, is ready to go 3D with nVIDIA graphics, and displays images beautifully on a 4-inch 24-bit color screen with 540×960 resolution. Though the HTC Inspire has a better camera and a larger screen, for performance and advanced features, the Atrix is the answer.

Verion

For those loyal Verizon-ists who have hung in there, your day has come. With the recent release of the HTC Thunderbolt, you too can enjoy 4G speeds. Though the phone is new, and the jury is still out, the HTC Thunderbolt if nothing else bears the name of the top manufacturer in Android phones. Running on a 1GHz processor the Thunderbolt is up to par with HTC’s other top models. Dual cameras, dual LED flash, 4.3-inch screen and the Android 2.2 platform make this  phone a promising contender in the battle for King of the 4G network.
