Earlier this year, HTC announced the Facebook-centric HTC ChaCha phone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in Barcelona. The HTC ChaCha is the first Android smartphone with one-touch Facebook access. HTC ChaCha allows you to update your status, upload a photo, share a website or check in’ to a location, with a single press of the button.
Last week, the guys at PocketNow posted a leaked press shot of the new HTC ChaCha phone with the AT&T logo and a sightly different Facebook button. This clearly pointed us that, the HTC ChaCha phone will be soon available to the AT&T customers in the US. Now, the folks over at BGR claims that, the AT&T’s HTC ChaCha phone will be called as the HTC Status in the US.
HTC ChaCha features a 2.6 inch touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution, 600 MHz processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, VGA front camera, 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM, Bluetooth 3.0 with FTP/OPP, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3.5mm headset jack, micro-USB, microSD card slot, up to 450 mins talk-time, up to 660 hours stand-by time and a 1250 mAh battery.
