AT&T claims in its press release [2] that it has doubled the Smartphone market in U.S. AT&T says it will market more aggressively in their new ad campaign.
AT&T believes it achieved this success because it was the first service provider for blackberry, Windows Mobile and Iphone. And the most popular device for them being the Apple Iphone.
AT&T believes for a better Smartphone experience, the quality of the service plays a vital role and hence it will continue to invest in its network. AT&T invested more than any other publicly traded company in the U.S. and more than any other publicly traded global telecommunications company last year.** And AT&T expects total capital expenditures to be $17 to $18 billion in 2009, with more than three quarters of it again supporting mobility and data.
