Asus has finally officially unannounced the much teased Padfone here at MWC in Barcelona. This 4.3-inch Pad’fone’ packs in a Super-AMOLED display with qHD (960×640) display in a 9.2mm thin body, a blazing fast Qualcomm S4 Krait processor clicked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 225 GPU, an 8MP camera with an aperture size of F/2.2 aided by an LED flash, and a VGA camera in the front.

There is also 1GB of RAM, 16 to 64GB of storage space thanks to a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, a gyroscope, HSPA+ (up to 42Mbps), WCDMA and a 1520mAh battery. The phone runs on stock Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich right out-of-the-box thankfully!
The ‘Pad’fone part is a tablet like accessory which transforms the Padfone into a tablet. The phone will slide into this optional accessory, and will become a full blown tablet with a 10.1-inch screen. There is also a stylus (!) THAT helps users in drawing random stuffs on the screen, taking notes and for receiving calls. Yes, the stylus can double up as a headset for users to receive calls!
The company did not mention anything as to when the Padfone and its accessory will hit the market or how much it will cost.
