Reports are flying in that most people are receiving their iPhone 4 pre-order before the scheduled date – tomorrow. For some other people, their iPhone 4 is in the FedEx delivery truck and should be in their hands by the end of the day. However, it will be interesting to see whether Apple and AT&T will activate these phones before tomorrow i.e. Wednesday.
I guess the pre-orders were shipped early to soften the load on AT&T, and Apple servers, as well as FedEx delivery service. Engadget also reports that the first batch of iPhone 4s have hit the Walmart and Best Buy shelves. Neither Best Buy nor Walmart have confirmed this news. However, the images posted on the website do look legitimate.
Update: Apparently, some people who received their iPhone 4 early were able to activate it without any hitch.
