Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update Rolling Out To Nexus One Owners?
By on December 6th, 2010

Google just unveiled the successor of Nexus One the Nexus S along with Android 2.3. Now, many Nexus One owners are reporting that they have already started getting the Android 2.3 update for their handset via OTA (Over-The-Air). However, Google has still not confirmed anything so readers should take this news with a pinch of salt.

Nexus One owners who are running on stock Android 2.2 can enter Android 2.3 *#*#2432546#*#* in the dialer to force the phone to check for an update.   Hopefully, the Nexus One will be getting all the goodies that Android 2.3 introduces except for NFC and front video camera since it lacks the required hardware.

If any of you Nexus One owners have already received the Android 2.3 update on your device, do let us know by dropping in a comment.

Thanks to Droid_Life for the secret code to force the handset to check for software update.
