Activate FM Radio On The Droid 2
By on September 27th, 2010

Ever since its launch, many people groaned about the lack of a FM radio on the Droid 2. There was a lot of speculation over at XDA-Developers forum that the FM radio hardware is present on the Droid 2 only that it needs to be activated. Motorola Droid 2 This was because the internal hardware of the Droid 2 is similar to the Droid X and the latter features FM radio.

Now over at XDA-Developers forum, a guy with the username slayher has managed to get the FM radio hardware on the Droid 2 up and working. Here are the step by step instructions on how to get FM Radio working on your handset. According to me, the steps are pretty complex and I will recommend newbie’s to wait until an easier automated method comes out. Nevertheless, Droid 2 owners who want to go ahead and try this mod should make sure that their handset is rooted with SuperUser installed.
