200,000 Samsung Galaxy S II Pre-Ordered In Korea

Earlier this year, Samsung announced the powerful Galaxy S II smartphone at the MWC 2011 in Barcelona. This handset is the successor of the Samsung’s highly popular Galaxy S smartphone. This handset have been recently released on the airwaves of SK Telecom, KT Corp and LG U+ in Korea. According to the manufacturer, more than 200,000 units of Samsung Galaxy S II have been pre-ordered in Korea.

Last year, Samsung sold more than 10 million units of the Galaxy S smartphone. It is the only Android powered smartphone to cross the 10 million mark. This year, Samsung clearly mentioned that, the company is expecting to sell more than 10 million units of the Galaxy S II smartphone. And with the 200,000 pre-orders in Korea, we are sure that Samsung with achieve its goals pretty soon.

Samsung Galaxy S II features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800×480 pixels resolution, 1 GHz dual core processor, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, HSPA+ connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, 8 megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording, Android Market, Social Hub Premium, Readers Hub, Game Hub, Music Hub, Kies Air, NFC and more.

Samsung Galaxy S II was up for pre-order during last week on all 3 major Korean carriers – SK Telecom, LG U+ and KT Corp. 10,000 units of Galaxy S II were pre-ordered in just 24 minutes, while the number doubled in less than an hour. Around 160,000 units were pre-ordered on the country’s largest carrier, SK Telecom. This handset will be available in more than 120 countries and 140 operators, before the end of this month.
