Yesterday @ih8sn0w had promised to release Sn0wbreeze 1.8 to jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.1 and iPod Touch 2G/3G running iOS 4.1. Today, @iH8sn0w has officially released sn0wbreeze 1.8 to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G.
Currently sn0wbreeze 1.8 only supports jailbreaking the iOS 4.1 beta based devices including iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. iPhone 3G users will have to use redsn0w 0.95 to jailbreak their iPhone.
If you are using iOS 4 and are looking for an iOS 4 jailbreak, you will have to use redsn0w 0.9.5 to jailbreak iOS 4 iPhone 3G /iPod Touch 2G and sn0wbreeze 1.7 to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G.
If you have updated to iOS 4.0.1 you can also jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G and unlock iPhone 3G 4.0.1 with Ultrasn0w. If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 4.1 yet, you might also want to backup your iOS 4 SHSH blogs, before Apple stops allowing you, so that you can downgrade iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.
