While Sinofsky is talking at D9, Microsoft’s PR is back to doing what they do best – show new stuff while it is being announced to distract and kill the buzz. Here’s a Microsoft engineer demonstrating the Zune/WP7 inspired tiled interface known as Metro.

The interface is fluid, shows a weather app and Microsoft calls switching between apps as “Snap” (it’s like the snap in Windows 7 but works with fingers.) Microsoft has disabled embedding for some weird reason but here’s the video:
