Google Chrome Releases Faster Version
Posted By Keith Dsouza On March 17, 2009 @ 5:39 pm In Latest News | 3 Comments
Google Chrome [1] has been seeing several improvements over the past few months and the lightweight and fast browser, has been made more faster [2] by the Chrome development team.
The best thing about this new beta is speed — it's 25% faster on our V8 benchmark and 35% faster on the Sunspider benchmark than the current stable channel version and almost twice as fast when compared to our original beta version.
In addition to the improvements in speed, this beta version also includes form autofill, full page zoom and autoscroll, along with a cool new feature that allows you to drag the tabs to get a side-by-side view as shown in the videos below.
This feature is pretty similar to the the bookmarklet we had told you earlier, which allow users to work in a dual pane split browser mode [3].
You will need to subscribe to the development channel of Google Chrome to get this beta version, check out a step by step guide on How To Get Latest Development Versions Of Google Chrome [4].
