Hi Kubiq – I see that you’ve already posted this question to a mobility forum. I hope they have a better answer.

My guess is that your phone can’t connect to the network because it’s protected by WPA2. That’s all I’ve got … sorry.

Hello,
i tried connect with my N5800 phone but it said “no getaway reply”… when i tried the same with my notebook, everything was allright.
Any ideas? …what can be wrong?

Hi Ashok – One of the authors asked this: is his Wifi device supported under as per this document -> http://www.connectify.me/docs/supportedcards.html ?

If his Wifi device is not supported ( like mine), Connectify cannot create a WiFi access point, instead will create an Ad hoc network. And I'd rather have a root canal than go spend time figuring out internet connection sharing on ad hoc networks.

Please check to see if your wifi card is supported.

Hi Ashok, I wish I could help, but I don't have an iPhone. However, I'll contact the other authors here to see if anyone else has any suggestions. The problem is most likely in the iPhone, but you can confirm that by trying to share your cable connection with other devices or PCs to see if they work.

I am using Iphone with Os 4.0. I am trying to share the internet from an ethernet cable with the Iphone. The connection seemed to have established but internet surfing doesnt seem to be working. Could you please help me.?

Hey Daniel – Sharing bandwidth between multiple computers is always going to have some negative impact on speed. Just how noticeable that would be depends largely how much speed there is to start off with.
With a very high speed connection impact would be minimal but with slower speeds, slow downs would indeed be noticeable.

how badly will it slow down the speed with 1,2,3 or more people sharing?
