Zync Launches The Z-909 Plus Android Tablet In India For Just Rs.3,699

Earlier this month, Zync launched the entry-level Zync Z-999 tablet in India for just Rs.11,990. Now, the company went a step ahead and announced its entry into the sub 4K segment with the launch its newest tablet, the Zync Z-909 plus. Unlike the Zync Z-999, this handset does not runs on the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. The Zync Z-909 plus is powered by the old Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, thanks to its low-end specs. This tablet comes pre-loaded with Angry Birds, Ibibo and BigFlix apps.

Ashish Garg, Director, Zync Global Private Limited, said:
“Owing to the fierce competition in the tablet market with many players entering this category, we felt the need to introduce a product which does not burn a hole in the consumers pocket, yet possesses the latest technologies at an affordable cost. After having launched our earlier products in the range of 8000-1200K, we felt the sub 4K segment was fairly untouched and hence we saw the opportunity to introduce a product in the price bracket of 4K.”

Zync Z-909 plus features a 7 inch touchscreen display, sporting a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera with video recording capabilities, Word/Excel/PDF support via third party apps, 256 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory, MicroSd card slot, 16 GB expandable memory, MicroUSB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G Connectivity via USB Dongle and a 3000 mAh battery.

Zync Z-909 plus comes with a price-tag of just Rs.3,699 (approx. $65). Zync also offers a one year warranty along with a pick up and drop facility. This tablet will be available across 22 states through its distributor network Balaji Solutions. You can also get this device from popular online retailers such as Snapdeal, HomeShop18, Futurebazaar and Naaptol.
