Tata Docomo was the first private operator to launch its 3G services in India. The company has won 3G license in nine circles including Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP (West), Punjab, Haryana and Maharashtra. Last month, Airtel, Aircel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular reduced the price of their exciting 3G plans. However, Tata Docomo subscribers were still waiting for their operator to reduce the price of the existing 3G data plans. Now, Tata Docomo has finally joined the bandwagon.
Our friends at Telecom Talk recently shared the Tata Docomo’s new 3G tariff plans. The new data plans start from Rs.5 for 50 MB data usage and go up to Rs.450 for 2 GB of data usage. For any usage beyond the mentioned data usage on each plan, the customers will be charged at the rate of 10p/10kb. Check out the complete tariff below.
Tata Docomo is the only operator which offers 50 MB of data for just Rs.5 with a validity of 1 day. On the other hand, Vodafone and Idea charges 2p/10kb and 3p/10kb respectively for additional usage. However, Tata Docomo charges the same 10p/10kb for additional usage beyond the given limit. The existing data plans of Rs.9 and Rs.201 has been discontinued.
Airtel has previously announced the Smartbytes for 3G, which allows the customers to continue enjoying the 3G experience even after exhausting their monthly data limits using the add-on packs. Sadly, Tata Docomo has not yet started offering such plans for their 3G subscribers. But we hope that the company will launch similar data plans in the coming months.
