S Tel, the India’s newest mobile operator achieved a milestone with more than 1 million subscribers in their network. S Tel’s 1 million subscriber base are spread across three circles of Bihar & Jharkhand, Odisha and Himachal Pradesh. The company’s services were launched in December 2009 last year and operating its services in 3 circles.
Delighted at the occasion, Mr. Shamik Das, Chief Executive officer, S Tel said, “We place the consumer at the centre of our business and hence have witnessed wide acceptance of our products and services. We made a positive start in December 2009, becoming the fastest mobile operator to have clocked 1 lac consumer base across the 3 circles of Bihar & Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh and Orissa. We are delighted to announce that we have achieved a sizeable base of 1 million S Tel subscribers within just 90 days of service launch.”

S Tel will launch their services in Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and North East in this year. With its aggressive roll out plans, the company will have 2700 BTS sites in April 2010 to ensure fast, seamless call connectivity & voice clarity.
