Huawei to Launch U8300 and U8500 Android Phones in India

Today, Huawei Technologies announced that it will launch four new handsets in the Indian market, two of them being Android smartphones.

The Huawei U8300 and U8500 will run the Android OS and have pretty decent hardware specifications. Huawei is clearly aiming for the budget Android segment which has virtually zero competition, by pricing the phones in the Rs. 7000 to Rs. 10000 range.

Detailed specifications are not available yet, but we do know that both phones will use Qualcomm chipsets and will offer GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They are also integrated with sites like Twitter and Facebook.

The Huawei U8300 will be a QWERTY Android smartphone with a TFT touchscreen display and a 3.15 MP camera with LED flash. It will be available in three colors: green, yellow and purple.
