BSNL has announced that it will be offering free unlimited 2 Mbps connection to all new subscribers for 15 days. This surprise announcement is possibly an attempt to counter Airtel’s offer of free connection upgrades (to 2 Mbps) during the IPL.

The unlimited 2 Mbps connection offer will be available to all new customers who subscribe on or before March 31. Customers registering during this period would also be exempt from registration fees.

The free 2 Mbps unlimited connection would last for 15 days. Once the trial period is over, the connection will automatically revert to the registered plan. The minimum period of hire for customers availing this scheme shall be a period of one month including the free download period. For more information, check out the official announcement.
