BlackBerry Launches The Torch 9810 (Torch 2) In India For Rs.29,990

Earlier this month, Research-In-Motion (RIM) announced the much awaited Torch 9810 (Torch 2) smartphone. This handset is the successor of the popular BlackBerry Torch smartphone. It comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display as well as the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This handset runs on the new BlackBerry 7 Operating System. Last week, we posted that, BlackBerry Torch 9810 is available at some of the retailers in Mumbai. Now, BlackBerry have finally launched the BlackBerry Torch 9810 in India.

Blackberry Torch 9810 comes with a 3.2 inch TFT LCD display with 640 x 480 pixels resolution, 1.2 GHz processor, BlackBerry 7 Operating System, Trackpad, Slide-out QWERTY keypad, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G Connectivity, 5 megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording, 4X digital zoom, continuous auto focus, face detection and more.

Other features include a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, 8 GB onboard memory, microSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, 768 MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, Built-in GPS functionality, BlackBerry Maps, Built-in speakerphone, up to 54 hours music playback time, up to 7 hours video playback time, up to 6.5 hours of talk time, up to 12.8 days of standby time and a 1270 mAh lithium-ion battery.

The original BlackBerry Torch was launched in India for Rs.35,000. But the new BlackBerry Torch 9810 comes with a price tag of just Rs.29,990. BlackBerry is also expected to launch the BlackBerry 9860 smartphone during September in India. You can also get this handset online at Flipkart and LetsBuy.
