Bharti Airtel Launches Airtel World SIM For International Travelers

Bharti Airtel has launched an Airtel World SIM for international travelers at the onset of the travel season.This SIM card is targeted towards Indian travelers who plan to do a lot of foreign traveling and fly abroad frequently. Some of the salient features of this SIM card are:

  • Enables outbound travelers to retain their local number calls made on Airtel India number are forwarded on the new Airtel World SIM
  • Costs a fraction of international roaming customers save upto 85 percent on international calls
  • Offers a single Mobile Number valid across 190 countries – international travelers spared of the inconvenience of carrying multiple SIMs for different countries
  • Airtel World SIM will be initially available to customers in Delhi, followed by the rest of the country

Activation Is Easy

Just before leaving abroad, using your India Airtel SIM, send SMS “AWS A” to 58125 to activate your service. This would instantly activate your AIRTEL WORLD SIMTM. However, please note that you would be unable to use your India Airtel SIM once your AIRTEL WORLD SIMTM is activated, hence activation should be done just before departure. For example, if your international flight is at 10:20 pm , then prior to your departure send an sms AWS A 22:20to 58125. Note: Once the service is activated, you would be unable to receive any calls on your India Airtel SIM.
