IRCTC Launches User Friendly Beta Site

IRCTC one of the biggest ecommerce site in Asia has been hugely criticized for the cumbersome user interface and lousy experience. However, it looks like they are finally going in for that much needed change.

IRCTC has rolled out a new beta design which is much more user friendly and has some nice graphics used. In addition to that, they have also revamped the site to focus on the core features of the site, rather than filling it up with unwanted things.

As you can see from the screenshot above, the new design is much more cleaner and appealing to the eye and puts focus on important things. Of course, for an ecommerce site it is very important to have the booking system working properly at all times too.

    It was been not working since 3 days.

      The site never improves. I am trying to view the trains only still for the last 2 hours. This is not at all an acceptable standard of the site in a country which boasts of the largest railway network and in this era of high speed technology.

    In the Beta version in the calendar displayed, the day for the week starts on Monday.

    We have adapted to week that starts on sunday.

    There are chances for making a wrong booking because of this

    THE COMPLETE INDIAN SCENE IS CHOKED WITH CORRUPTION, IT IS A GREAT EXPERIENCE WHEN RIGHT AT 8 AM THE IRCTC SITE GETS BLOCKED SO THAT OUR CORRUPT OFFICIALS CAN GET MONEY FROM AGENTS WHO CHARGE HEAVILY FOR BOOKING TATKAL TICKETS ON HOLIDAY SEASON. JAI HO INDIAN OFFICIALS…….
