We have already written about several ways to jailbreak iPhone and jailbreak iPod Touch but what if you have problems after you have jailbroken your iPhone or iPod Touch? Can you go back to a unjailbroken state and remove the jailbreak? Well the answer is yes, and I was able to unjailbreak my iPod Touch recently.

Removing the jailbreak from your device is pretty easy, just follow the simple steps listed below.
Step 1: Connect your device to your PC or Mac.
Step 2: Let iTunes backup the device and other settings, this is very important since we are going to wipe out the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Step 3: Click the device name in iTunes, you will see a “Restore” button under Version, click on that.
Step 4: Follow the steps to restore the device to factory settings. This might take a while.
Step 5: iTunes will prompt you to restore the device from a backup. Choose the latest backup you made before you restored the device and iTunes will copy all your settings for email and more back to the device.
That’s it. You have now successfully removed the jailbreak from your device now. All your settings including email accounts, app settings, game scores and more will be restored.
