To keep my inbox free from clutter, I have setup several Gmail filters ^[1] which automatically archive emails ^[2] or apply a certain label ^[3] to them, however due to the large number of labels in my inbox, it becomes quite problematic to browse to the labels and open them to view the emails in it.

The Go To Label ^[4] feature in Gmail Labs ^[5] allows users to use keyboard shortcuts to quickly browse any particular labels in Gmail ^[6]. Here is a step by step guide that shows you, how to quickly browse Labeled emails in Gmail.

Step 1: Go to Settings > Labs and enable the Go to Label feature.

Step 2: Make sure that keyboard shortcuts are turned on for your account, to do that, go to Settings > General and turn keyboard shortcuts on, if they are off.

Step 3: You are all set now, to quickly browse labels, click on the g’ key, followed by the l’ key. A search box will appear in the middle of the page, type the label name you want to browse in the text box provided, suggestions will be shown to you as you type.
