tried FAIL!! epic FAIL many many times over and over again!! DV7 1428ca downloaded the drives new and old unistalled and re installed everytime even extracted to a different location and ran install again but still nothing… AGGRAVATED!! done all of the suggestions online and from HP but nothing works! probably the worst thing about HP and their proprietary hardware… the drivers NEVER work….

windows 7 pro 64bit 2.20ghz AMD Turion 8 gb ram 120 gb SSD 320 GB stock HDD

Check the services.

On keyboard press WINDOWS KEY + R
Services.msc
Click OK
Find the Quick Launch service.
Right Click on Quick Launch service.
Properties
Startup: AUTOMATIC
Click OK
Start the service

Find the Quick Launch service.
Right Click on Quick Launch service.
Properties
Startup: AUTOMATIC
Click OK

Start the service

hy i have HP dv-6 1390ev. n my quick launch buttons are not working since few dayz. i tried every thing on ma laptop even restoring to couple months back bt still not working. i tried chking on the website of Hp bt still none of the drivers helped. now i m so much busted and angry that i try every option available on the net and the backup i had b4. bt till now nothiing.. actually “HP sucks…”

cn anyone please help with the issue… i m really pissed n cnt help it

Do the buttons work when you update ur system to win7 service pack1?
Mine dont, those buttons go wrong…

I tried this method but it doesn’t fix the problem, at least on my HP pavillion dv9780
