I'm Feeling Lucky

With advent of online technology it has become quite easy to edit your pictures online or give it some special effects online Photoshop style or if you are a website owner you could also create your favicon for free all of this absolutely free. I have always failed miserably in creating gif animations and after a point left even trying to create it. I could not find any suitable online tool to create animations but that was only until now.

GIFUP is a new service that allows you to create animated gif files online and like always you can do it for free. No more getting costly animations done by designers. With GIFUP you can do it your self with out paying a cent.

gifup-logo With GIFUP you can upload images from your hard drive or choose to use images from Flickr or any other web site. Once you have uploaded the images the images are arranged as frames. You can upload as many images you like but each image size cannot exceed 1024 KB.

The uploading of images is pretty sleek and fast. I uploaded 5 images in some 45 seconds and that included choosing the images. You can remove the frames that you may have accidentally uploaded using a close button available on each frame.

You do not need to worry about uploading the images in particular sequence. Once you have uploaded the images you can easily drag and drop the images in to your desired positions.

You have different options to create the animations in. You can choose from large which is 400 pixels, medium which is 200 pixels and different avatar formats of 150, 100 and 50 pixels.  You can easily use those avatars on popular social networking like MySpace, Hi5, Friendster or even on your own blogs and forums.

You can also choose between fast, normal, slow and super slow feeds for rotating your images. You can tag your gif animation and allow it to be viewed in the GIFUP Gallery.

Here is a animation I created without having any skills of a designer using GIFUP, I should say this has become a part of my must visit websites and you will see pretty animations on this blog in the future all courtesy GIFUP.

My 2 Cents

This is one of the best service I have come across for creating animated gif files. Many a time I have wanted to create animated gif files for this blog, but the services that I used were not that good. I would highly recommend this site to anyone who wants to create a gif animation easily and free of cost.

Great stuff. One of the best we have seen so far. Useful for students and new comers.
