Have you ever wanted to login to two different ids using Yahoo Messenger, but have been restricted from doing so because Yahoo Messenger does not allow you to.
Tech Xpress has written about a registry hack which will allow you to run multiple instances of Yahoo messenger simultaneously.

To run multiple instances of yahoo messenger simultaneously follow the instructions given below:
- Go to Start >> Run. Type ‘Regedit’ and press Enter. This opens the Registry editor.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareYahooPagerTest
- Right-Click on any blank space in the right panel and select New >> DWORD value. Rename this newly create DWORD key as Plural.
- Double-Click it and change its value data to 1. Click OK.
Once you have added the entry into your registry you can easily run multiple instances of messengers and login into different accounts as you can see from the screenshot. If you are not too comfortable in editing registry, we would recommend using a multi protocol IM client like Digsby, Trillian or Pigdin which allows you to log into multiple accounts.
On vista you can also download and run Yahoo messenger for Windows Vista [1] and the regular version, which would then allow you to login into multiple accounts on the same PC.
