For the past few days Google has been releasing quite a few updates for their products, first it was the change of Google Personalized to iGoogle, the new feature addition to Google Reader and then the Google Adsense login page redesign.

Google Desktop Blog today announced another update to the Google Desktop Gadget Designer along with releasing the new Google Desktop Software Development Kit (SDK). They have added in new features such as drag and drop elements, property editiors for elements and a built-in script editor to edit scripts.

Google Destop Gadget Designer now has features such as find and replace and going to specific line numbers which are a must have features in editors, along with project features and more preferences for the editor.

They have also provided with samples to help get started on developing a Gadget.

For those who are now yet aware of Gadgets, these are more like widgets which can be used as a part of the Google Desktop. These allow you retrieve information from various places at once.
