Tracking time of different countries becomes important when you stay in one country and your business clients or family members stay in another, though there are several tools to check world timings from the desktop, a nifty little gadget called PolyClock, which allows users to view time from different time zones across the world in .

The gadget is not part of , you can follow our earlier tutorial of adding custom gadgets to Gmail to add this gadget to your Gmail account.

Here are the manual steps for adding the PolyClock gadget to Gmail.

  1. Enable Add any Gadgets by URL in Gmail Labs page.
  2. Visit Settings –> Gadgets page.
  3. Enter the URL “http://gad.getpla.net/poly/clock.xml” without quotes into the URL textbox and click on Add.
  4. Configure the clock to show the timings you want from across the world.

That’s it, with this simple gadget you can now keep a eye on the time from across the world, while you are checking for new emails.
