A few days back we talked about a theme for Gmail which would help you make Gmail a bit more snazzier. Well that dream may soon come true for Gmail without use of any extensions or stylesheets.

Philipp Lenssen from Google Blogoscoped has picked up some reliable dope on Gmail getting themes in near future.

A source is telling me that Gmail will get themes – custom layouts to personalize Google’s web mail client. According to the source, the launch of this may happen within the next months. There will be 12 themes to pick from, according to this information, like a black-and-green “terminal” view, as well as a flowery view.

Let’s hope Gmail rolls this out quickly as I am dying to try out new themes rather than the same old boring look I have been seeing for last few years.

Note: We discourage users from using keywords in their names while posting comments, most of them get caught by spam, also it really would be more fruitful in knowing people who comment by their real name, rather than by using a name no one relates to. In future we reserve the right to delete comments from users using a name other than their own.
