Gmail Labs Adds Send & Archive Feature
By on January 15th, 2009

has added a new feature which will allow users to use a multipurpose button to send a email and immediately archive it, the default behavior would add the reply to the mail itself, adding to a clutter of emails.

The new feature will definitely make it a bit easier to manage emails and do away with processed emails from the Inbox. This feature does not have a undo option yet, so you will have to manually un-archive the email for now, however the undo feature is in the works and you can expect it to be available shortly.

To turn on this feature, go to the Labs tab under settings and activate the Send & Archiveoption.
