Gawd knows I love Skype and have used it to connect sitting at anchor in the bahamas. But for GMail to integrate Video Chat capabilities is not a surprising move. Just a kewl one. They are truly offering the best free email service at present, and they sure are not resting on their laurels. As far as IM goes, I use Skype and Facebook a lot lately. If you use gmail as your primary email service and it is open on your PC most of the time it would make sense to use the gmail IM service too. It is a Google world indeed!
