I have been live blogging the Steve Ballmer keynote from CES 2010 for the past hour. Quite frankly, it was a dud as there were no big announcements. However, there was an announcement by President of Entertainment at Microsoft, Robbie Bach. The announcement was that they are coming up with “Game Room”, an experience to relive old arcade games from Nintendo and Atari, like Mario on Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Game Room will be released soon and will come with 30 arcade games. Microsoft plans to add 1 game everyday to the library and 1000 games over the next three years.
Game Room will not require an emulator and will work on both the Xbox 360 and Windows PC. So will this enhance the gaming experience of users who have otherwise had to use emulators?
