It seems like CES 2011 is going to be dominated by tablets. The prospect of Motorola and scores of other manufacturers planning to showcase their tablets at CES was already very enticing for techies like us. Today, JKK reported that even Viliv, which makes some of the best UMPCs, is planning to launch its Android and Windows tablets at CES 2011.
It will be showcasing three tablets:
Viliv X7 Android Tablet
A 7 inch tablet, roughly the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which will run Android, probably version 2.2 Froyo. Its tagline – “the leadership of Anywhere Connectivity” suggests that it will probably have 3G connectivity.
Viliv X10 Android Tablet
A 10 inch tablet powered by Android which will compete with the likes of the Apple iPad and the Motorola tablet which is also to be launched at CES.
It should have a very long battery life, as claimed by Viliv – “Longest battery life powered 10.2 inch Android”.
Viliv X70 Windows 7 Slate
The Viliv X70 is what many Windows fans have been waiting for. It is the “Most slim and light Windows 7 based tablet in the world”. Sounds interesting, right?
What makes it even more interesting is the rumor that Microsoft may be planning to launch a ARM based version of Windows at CES. This might be one of the first devices to run it.
