Verizon Rolling Out The Software Update For Motorola Xoom

Last month, Verizon and Motorola announced that the owners of the Motorola Xoom tablet can send their devices and get the free 4G LTE upgrade. If you have sent the device and already received it, then you will soon get a software update for the Motorola Xoom tablet. Verizon recently rolled out a software update for the owners of Motorola Xoom. Some notable changes are updated Android Market, upgraded Android Books app, enhancements to the 3G/4G data connection, etc. Check out the complete changelog, after the break.

Device Features:

  • Android Market has been updated.
  • When toggling between Airplane Mode, you will no longer receive the following error message: Wrong Operator: SIM card is from an unknown source.
  • After performing an over-the-air (OTA) update, the Android Market shortcut on the homescreen works correctly.
  • Android Books app has been upgraded.
  • Android Market Terms and Condition text is now easier to read against background color.
  • Android Market app now updates on its own.

Web Browsing:

  • Improvements in browser security help to block rogue certificates.
  • Enhancements to the 3G/4G data connection help prevent data stalls.
