Last month, Samsung announced the successor of its popular tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with more features as compared to the original iPad. But, after the launch of iPad 2, Samsung was shaken since the new iPad 2 comes with some amazing features, ultra-slim design and no changes in the price tag. To stay ahead in the competition, Samsung will launch the new Galaxy Tab 8.9 on March 22nd.
Samsung recently teased the upcoming Galaxy Tab 8.9, on their official Facebook page. The image clearly shows that the Samsung’s 8.9 inch tablet comes with an extremely slim design and it could be the company’s thinnest tablet to-date. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will come with a 8.9 inch touchscreen display and it will compete with the iPad 2 and LG Optimus Pad.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is expected to come with the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system and it might run on the dual core Tegra 2 processor or the Samsung’s very own Exynos processor. The price of this device is said to be much lower than the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The complete specs of this device will be unveiled on March 22nd.
