The Samsung Galaxy Tab is the first major Android tablet which will soon be launched in the US. It is touted to be the only real iPad competitor, atleast in the near future.

According to BGR, the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched by Sprint on November 14. It will be priced at $399 with a 2 year contract and $599 without one. The retail pricing of $599, if true, is really good. When it was first announced, many were speculating that the price will be more than $1000.

The iPad is priced at $629 for the 16 GB 3G version. If priced at $599, the Galaxy Tab will be a much better option at a lower price.

The early reviews of the Galaxy Tab have been very encouraging. At this price, it has virtually no competition. I am definitely getting one, are you?
