Samsung Galaxy Tab Gets The Android 2.3 Update In The UK

Samsung Galaxy Tab is the company’s first tablet device. It was launched during the Q4 of 2011. Samsung has already managed to sell more than 2 million units of this device in just 4 months. This tablet originally runs on the Android 2.2 (Froyo) Operating System. Samsung has already rolled out the Android 2.3 update in most of the countries, but Galaxy Tab users in the UK were left behind. Now, Samsung Galaxy Tab owners in the UK has finally started receiving the much-awaited Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with a 7 inch TFT LCD touchscreen display with 1024×600 pixels resolution, 1GHz processor, Android 2.2 OS, TouchWIZ 3.0 UI, 3.2 megapixel camera, HD (720p) video recording, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G Connectivity, 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory and a 4000mAH battery.

Sadly, the Android 2.3 update is not available via. Over-The-Air (OTA). You will need to manually update the device by connecting it to your computer and then using the Samsung Kies desktop software.
