Samsung recently launched Galaxy Tab, its first tablet device in India. The Android powered device will be soon available on the airwaves of SingTel in Singapore and US Cellular in the U.S. SingTel has pre-loaded some useful apps for its subscribers such as the De!ite app which allows users to buy and read magazines, Roam Track app which tracks overseas mobile roaming charges and more.
Samsung Galaxy Tab features a 7 inch TFT-LCD touchscreen display with 1024Ã—600 pixels resolution, Android 2.2 operating system, TouchWIZ 3.0 UI, 1GHz Cortex A8 application processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G Connectivity, 3.2 megapixel camera, HD (720p) video recording and playback, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 32GB expandable memory, A-GPS, 4000mAH battery and more.
US Cellular hasn’t announced the price and availability of this device yet. SingTel will sell the powerful Galaxy Tab from November 13 for SG$998 without any contract and it will be available on SingTel’s 3G Flexi plans that start from SG$39.
