Word on the street is that Google has officially chosen the MotoPad, Motorola’s soon-to-be-launched Android tablet as the launchpad for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
@mobireview, the official Twitter account of Mobile Review tweeted out this interesting bit of news just a few hours back, so I guess their source must be pretty reliable.
The only details we have right now are that the Motorola tablet will be called the MotoPad and will have run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. It will have a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display, just like the Galaxy Tab.
While Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab about 2 months back, both Motorola and LG had stated that they would be waiting for a more mature version of Android. Looks like Motorola got what it wanted. The MotoPad will probably be launched in Q1 2011.
