Motorola Launches The Xoom Android Honeycomb Tablet In India

Motorola finally launched its Android powered Motorola Xoom tablet in India. This device was announced at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas and it was later showcased at MWC 2011 in Barcelona. Motorola Xoom is the first tablet, which runs on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) Operating System. Motorola is selling both the Wi-Fi only version as well as the Wi-Fi + 3G version of this tablet in India.

Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 5 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, HD (720p) video recording, Full HD (1080p) playback and more.

Other features include a 3.5mm headset jack, Google Chrome bookmark sync and incognito mode, Android Market, micro USB 2.0, Corporate Sync, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR + HID, 32GB internal memory, SD card support, 1GB DDR2 RAM, Integrated GPS, up to 10 hour video playback and a 3250 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi comes with a price tag of Rs.34,490, while the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi + 3G is available for Rs.41,490. The Best Buy prices of Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G are Rs.32,990 and Rs.39,990 respectively.
